According to the marriage contract Etienne Haler widower of Marie-Anne Bilodo married Marguerite Hameille.

The younger Etienne married Marguerite's sister Josephe. After Josephe died he married Marguerite Fortin. (To further complicate matters, Marguerite's father, Pierre Fortin, married the elder Etienne's widow Marguerite.)

This was a difficult family to track due to all the variations of the Allaire name. The PRDH uses a standardized name system which is designed to lump all the variations together. Unfortunately, d'Allaire, Allaire and Allard are three distinct families and the PRDH recognizes that. So all searches had to be done three times to make sure no records were missed.

I hope this clears up your Etienne problem.
Good luck.
