elusive Mary Jane Allaire

This is an update of an unanswered 2001 post.

This one has eluded me for many years.
I have Joseph Pepin, b. between 1835-1842 in Canada-West [Ontario], married to Mary Jane Allear/Allen/Allaire in Webster, Mass. on 28 Oct 1865. Mary Jane was b. in Holden, Mass. 14 Mar 1849. They had children:
Georgianna, 8 Dec 1866 in Warwick, Mass.
Anthony, 27 Mar 1868 in Warwick, Mass.
Mary Jane, 9 Mar 1869 in Warwick, Mass.
Margaret, 5 Apr 1871 in Shirley, Mass
Zerilla, 1875 in Canada
Josephine, 10 Aug 1877 in Shirley(?)
Odiel, 11 Nov 1879 in Shirley, Mass.
Emma Delima, Feb. 1882 in Shirley, Mass.
Alexander, 13 Mar 1884 in Shirley, Mass.
Joseph, 28 Mar 1886 in Shirley, Mass.

Mary Jane (Allen/Allaire/Allear) Pepin died 13 May 1888 in Fitchburg. Her parents are listed as "Oliver" on her birth record, as "John & Mary" on her marriage record, as "Rock and Olivia" on her death record.

Joseph Pepin's parents are listed only as Joseph & Mary. Once his wife Mary Jane died he seems to disappear. He may have remarried, as his wife was only 39 at her death.

If anyone has a lead on Joseph's Canadian origins or on Mary Jane's parents (cross-posted to PEPIN forum), I'd appreciate it.
