Frederick Selfridge ( B: 12-12-1871 in Batavia, Kane Co Illinois ) married Mary Jane Allord ( NAME BELIEVED TO BE CHANGED FROM " ALLAIRE " when they moved from Quebec ,Cananda to the US). Mary Jane Allaire was the daughter of William Allaire ( born @ 1847 in St.Maurice County, Canada East, Quebec ) and Mary McLaughlin ( born in Ireland )...they were married 8-30-1892 in Kane County Illinois ).
William Allaire is believed to have a mother of Native / Indian descent named " Shobouneau"...this detail is taken from oral information...from family oral history, and not from Church / Government documents.
If you are connected,or have more information on my Indian Grandmother , Please advise.....thanks...Richard
