Obit: Eleanor (Allard) Call b.1917 Richmond, ME
AUGUSTA -- Eleanor Call, 87, of Pleasant Street, Richmond, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2005, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1917, in Richmond, the daughter of Bert and Annie (Preble) Allard.
Eleanor worked for 10 years in the Old Ames Mill in Richmond during the 1950s.
She enjoyed her flower garden, walking, reading, talking with people, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, and husband Raymond Call in 1982.
She is survived by her daughter, Robena Millett and her husband, David, of Bath; grandchildren Lisa Haley of Wiscasset, Alex Millett and his wife, Susan, of Biddeford, Christina Millett of Bath and James Millett of Bath; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at St. Matthias Episcopal Church on Spruce Street in Richmond, with the Rev. Bruce Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery.
Because of Eleanor's great-granddaughter Gabrielle's genetic disorder, memorial donations may be made to the Proprionic Acidemia Foundation PAF, 1963 McCraren Highland Park, Ill. 60035, to fund research for a cure.
