A Holiday Sorrow
The death of Mrs. Bertha Allbright at Elmira, Sunday, Dec. 30, 1905,is sad news for many friends and acquaintances in this city. Her death occurred after a long hopeless decline while visiting a daughter. She was a native of Germany, 71 years of age. She came to this county from St. Louis in 1854 and had resided here from that time. Her husband's death preceded hers by 33 years. But one son, Wm. Allbright, of this city, and two daughters, Mrs. M. Enner and Mrs. S. March of Elmira, survive to mourn the loss of a devoted mother. Her funeral on New Years Day was conducted by Rev Pond (hard to read). The relatives present were Martin Enner, wife and three children, Maud, George and Harvey; Mrs. L. March and her daughter Edna, and Wm. Gamble.
