Ann Stacey,i'm delighted to read your message.Interestingly,I was always told by my grandfather (Thomas 'tough-un' Allday), that every Allday in the U.K was traceably related, and one rarely meets that many others. The small amount of research I have done thus far, concurs with yours, that the Allday name begins in America on the East coast sometime in the 17th century, originated from this side of the Atlantic, and probably of Norman derivation.
