How do I obtain a copy of this book? I am a descendant of this family and am very curious. The info I have says Abigail was captured by a band of indians Sept. 19, 1677. The indians were led by Chief Ashpelon and raided Hatfield while most of the men were in the fields havesting corn. 12 people were killed and 17 hostages taken. Six year old Abigail was one of them. A ransom was paid to the French who worked in collusion with the Indians. Is this correct?
