ALLIS - EARLY OHIO
Posted by: Judie Schatz Date: April 21, 2000 at 06:44:02

Seeking info on any ALLIS in OHIO by 1820. The 1820 OH Census Index lists these ALLIS HOH - IRA, MICHAEL, REUBIN and WINTHROP all in Perry Co.; OLIVER in Harrison Co; and THOMAS in Hamilton Co. Believe THOMAS married a WARNER from CT in KY c1800. Were those in Perry Co. brothers? Did any of them have a wife or daughter by the name of ELIZABETH ELLEN ALLIS, my ggggrandmother? ELIZABETH ELLEN (b 1800/10, d c1847) married 1835 BENJAMIN PEARSON (b 1805 Scotland) in Morgan Co., IL. In l880 daughter MARY ELIZABETH PEARSON CANHAM listed her mother as born in OH. Any info, leads or suggestions would be very much appreciated. THANKS
