Obituary from the Watertown, New York "Watertown Daily Times" Newspaper, 01 Dec 2011:
January 17, 1920 – November 29, 2011

Donald Charles Allnatt, son of Charles B. and Honorine S. Allnatt, was born in Bainbridge, New York, January 17, 1920, and died in the Nyack Hospital after several years of illness. He graduated from Little Falls High School in 1938, and continued studies with Syracuse University. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in World War II from 1941 through 1945, serving as a pilot and an elementary flying instructor. He married Mary Mosenthin, his high school sweetheart, on July 9, 1942.

After his service years he worked as a draftsman and design engineer at Cherry Burrell in Little Falls, and other locations through the years. He served as pastor of the Sloansville and Bramen’s Corners Baptist Churches, the Memorial Congregational Church in Seneca Falls, New York, the “White Church” in Lisbon, New York, and the yoked parishes of The United Church of Copenhagen and The UCC of Rodman, New York. In retirement he and Mary continued in musical ministry in Lebanon and Georgetown, New York, and as a supply pastor in several locations.

He was a great teacher and builder, and brought many people to faith in the Lord. He was a talented musician and a dedicated youth worker, serving as a well loved leader at Camp Laurent, the UCC Youth Camp in Ogdensburg, NY.

He will be missed by his wife of 69 years, Mary: children Hollie Ruthberg and husband, Carl, New City, New York; Scott Allnatt and wife, Hope of Ithaca, New York; and Lindsay Webb and husband, Dan of Dexter, New York; grandchildren Brett Ruthberg, Erica Cathers, Joshua and Jason Nicol, Christiana and Gloriana Allnatt; and great-grandchildren Hannah and Nolan Ruthberg, Jacob and Justin Cathers, Samuel Ruthberg, and Connor, Logan, Makayla, and Wyatt Nicol.

A memorial service will be held at the Little Falls First Baptist Church on Monday, December 12, at 11:00 A.M. followed by a reception. A Day of Remembrance and Internment will be held in Georgetown, New York, at a late spring date to be announced. Memorial gifts may be made in Donald’s name to either the Mohawk Valley Christian Academy in Little Falls, New York, or the Georgetown Baptist Church, Georgetown, New York.
