I can't answer for Catherine and David Allspaugh because I have found no connection to them. I am looking for the parents of Joseph Henry ALLSPAUGH, born 1815 in Lancaster, Fairfield County, Ohio in 1815. He was buried in Mound View Cem.,Knox County, Ohio, in 1894. His children were Emma, Samuel, Harrison, Mary Jane, Henry Clay George W.(Washington?), James Fillmore, and Youta Wilson Allspaugh.

The connection with David and Catherine, if any, was that they had a granddaughter Emma. She coud have been a cousin to my Emma. Also, family legend is that the Allspaughs came from Pennsylvania (before 1815).

I don't know if "J.H." changed the spelling of his name or his parents didn't stay in Lancaster. Amspacher isn't impossible.
