Dear Chris, unfortunately you omitted to name your grandfather. My family has a tree dating back to 1760 and the majority of the Allums are from the Kensington, Notting Hill gate area of London. If you wish further details or wish to post more details I would be glad to converse. By the way did you know that an Allum was responsible minting coins for use in New York in the 1700s?
