William Almas c 1843 Battle of Gettysbury

Originally from Ontario, Canada, William was from Lapeer, Michigan when he enlisted on Aug 7, 1861 for three years service at age 18 yrs. He reputedly lied about his age to enlist. He took the muster oath on August 22, 1861. He was killed in action at Gettysburg, PA on July 3, 1863 during the repulse of the Pickett-Pettigrew-Trimble charge. He is buried at Gettysburg National Cemetery in the Michigan Plot.
WHO IS THIS??
The only William c 1843 I have is the son of Adam Bowman Almas Sr. BUT: I have a record attributed to him of a birth in Fremont, Tuscola, Michigan of a daughter Sarah b. Apr 1868 - d. 15 Oct 1872, the mother Sarah -----, which would put this in question. WHERE I'M I WRONG.
