Orville H. Almas birth registered as Patrick Hammill Almas b. 7 Jun 1882 Glanford Twp, but he often went by Orville. 1901 census birth date is incorrect. marriage record calls him Orville Hammill; 1911 census - calls him Orville.

He died At St Joseph's Hospital on Sunday, Apr 24,1960, Patrick H. Almas, of Dundas, in his 78th year, Interred in Grove Cemetery Dundas. 1911 - of Hamilton, single, machinist - Otis Elevator; 1941 - Dundas; 1958-59 in the "House of Refuge" aka Wentworth Lodge now, in Dundas, my mother helped look after him, and he insisted on being called Patrick. In Dundas he worked many years at John Bertrum & Sons as a Machinist.

Have never found what became of Effie Culp, if the marriage lasted, or if she was with him in Dundas. Know of no children born to them. bk
