William H. Almond - Virginia
Posted by: John Nash (ID *****2447) Date: December 30, 2008 at 15:57:38

I am trying to find descendants of William H. Almond who was a Private in Company A, 11th Virginia Infantry during the war between the states. He was born in 1833 and died 10/13/1914. He is buried in Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, North Carolina. He and 42 other Confederate soldiers in two sections of the cemetery will be receiving new headstones. There will be a dedication ceremony in May of 2009.
