I am seeking additional information on the Almond Family of Thimbleby, Lincolnshire England. Our line began here in the U.S. with:
Wright Almond - b. 10/17/1809, Thimbleby
m. Sarah Waite - birth date & place unknown, Marr. May 12, 1835 in Baumber, England (where was Baumber in relation to Thimbleby?)
Wright's parents are reportedly:
John Almond & Sarah Wright
John b. 1/29/1775 in Hechington, Lincolnshire
Sarah b. 2/25/1776 in Edlington, Lincolnshire
John's parents:
Thomas Almond and Mary (possibly "Elston")
Thomas b. 11/4/1750 Swayfield, Lincolnshire
If this is our Thomas, he m. Mary Elston 13 May 1767 in Ewerby, Lincolnshire (less than two miles from Hechington)
My questions are primarily about confirming this pedigree.
1. Does anyone have firm record of Wright Almond being the son of John and Sarah Wright Almond?
2. Does anyone have further information on Thomas and Mary Elston Almond which confirms their marriage?
3. Does anyone have further information on the parents/families of Mary Elston, Sarah Wright and Sarah Waite?
