Hi Tony,
You will not beleive how many Alphin's there are out there. I am from the Arkansas Alphin's that orginated from NC My ggggrandfather was Josiah Alphin. There are alot of Alphin's in Ark. Our research goes back to 834 when the first king of Scotland was an Alphin married to a McGreugor. I have Israel Dodge in our research too. What we have up with is that the name Alphin came from Ireland or Scotland. Hoping one day to go over and find out. Karen Alphin-Hickman
