Israel Dodge Allphin is my ggg-grandfather. I have a story of the Allphin family by Sarah, published in "One Hundred Years on the Muddy" by Overton p. 195. I found the book in the library at Salt Lake City. This is just a short paragraph that says that Israel and his wife Burnette with seven children traveled from Illinois by ox team to Salt Lake Valley arriving in the fall of 1857. There is a picture of Sarah in the article. Sarah also included some stories of their life in Utah.
