I have in my file JOSIAH ALPHIN       Birthplace-NC,Residence in 1840-Randolph Co, AR. Occupation-Farmer. NOTE: (The ALPHIN name was recorded in the First U. S. Census, 1790, in North Carolina. Hezekiah seems to be the patriarch of the ALPHIN family in America. He married Fanny Howell February 20, 1787. Other ALPHIN given names who were early Americans were Jesse, Thomas, William, John and Joseph, who resided in North Carolina counties of Wayne, Gates, and Jones. It is not known at this time which of these persons was JOSIAH's father).
Josiah Alphin, born 1810 married Elizabeth McDonald. Josiah and Elizabeth are my 3rd great grandparents. Are we talking about the same Josiah Alphin?
