In my family records I have a Crissy Ellen McCellan (1847-1925) married on 18 Feb. 1868 to George Jacob Alspach (1843-1921) all events occurring in Hancock Co. Ohio. I show her father as Alexander McCellan and her mother as Minerva ? Might this be your connection to Gen. George B. McClellan. Was he possibly a brother to Alexander? The spellings of McClellan and McCellan are different, so I need to check my information. Does any of this connect with your family?
