Well, Doug, we also have Reinhard Alspach marrying Anna Magdalena Brandstetter on the same day and the same place. No, he wasn't married to the Schur woman. Church records from Thaleischweiler use the symbol for an illegitimate birth. Of course, there was more than one Reinhard Alspach in Thaleischweiler. We need to sort them out. Curiously there is no mention of any Ohlinger in the church records in Germany. She is mentioned in the ships passenger records, but so is Anna Magdalena Brandstetter. I've been trying to shake some sources loose for the Ohlinger records and no one seems willing to say where the information comes from. I have church records, which are hard to dispute, but the dates are ambiguous. As I said before, we need to sort out all the Reinhard Alspachs.
