DISPATCHES --
From San Francisco, Sept. 22 --
-Ramon AMADOR, the murderer of HISCOCK, the hunter, near San Leandro, was hanged at half-past 11 today at San Leandro. He persisted to the last that he killed his victim in self defense. He directed all his property to be
given to his sister, who, he declared, he had hitherto kept from marrying; but who could now marry. He wept, prayed and swore alternately and bitterly, and that he was to be hanged because he was a poor man. If he had money to buy friends at Court, as he had done, he would not have been hanged. When the black cap was drawn over his face it required 2 men to hold him up until the noose was adjusted. Sheriff MORSE then stepped back and wiped his forehead as he signed to his assistant and the drop fell.He struggled convulsively for some minutes, but the neck was found to have been broken by the fall.
