Luther M. Amazeen was my grandfather. My grandmother (his wife) was Molly Gleavy of England. She died of TB in 1911. My grandfather never remarried. He had two sons, my father, Gerard B. Amazeen (b. 1909) and my uncle, Raymond (b. 1901), who never married. I am the last Amazeen to live on New Castle. (I have three younger sisters, no brothers.) I live in the house that was purchased by my great grandfather, Luther and his brother, Alexander. They divided the house (33 Cape Road, about 1864) and it remains so to this day.
