A follow-up to my previous post:
William H. Amazeen died in 1880, in the month of May according to the June 1880 Mortality Schedule for the town of Durham. He was 55 years old, born in NH (same as parents) and occupation was a mail carrier. No mention of his death in either Portsmouth or Dover newspapers, and not on record in Concord. Even though the Durham town clerk was keeping records at this time, there is no listing for this William in their books (there were only a couple of names for this year listed, so perhaps a complete rec wasn't kept). The search continues...
