John, I found your response to my cousin Karen's question very helpful. My Grandfsther is also, through my Mother, Frank Maudsley Amazeen whose grandfather was John Lear Amazeen. Your information helped to fill in many blanks on my schedule.
While google searching I came across the "Amazeen Register Report", by Kristin Carole Hall and dated 21 Aug 2002. This report was also helpful in follwing the Amazeen clan done through the first five generations.
It looking at what information I have collected I am short two Williams to combine both schedules in one tree. The first William is the father of William B Amazeen (b. 1815). I show him as being married to Elizabeth Berry and possibly being a Jr. I have no other information.
In looking through your informstion it appears that this William has a Father who is also named William. It seems to me that this second William would be the son of Ephraim (b. 1758). I would appreciate any information you could provide on the missing or misplaced Williams.
I have the 3rd wife of John Lear Amazeen to be Lottie Josephine Gugel b. Jul 1869 in New York. The only name I have for her father is A. F. Gugel. Their son Frank Amazeen b. 16 Mar 1889 in Jacksonville, FL married Karen Mortesen b. 2 May 1895 in Chicago on 26 Jan 1916 in Arlingto, MA.
Frank died 7 Jan 1962 im Melrose, MA. Their children are:
Marian b. 7 Nov 1916, Arlington, MA
d. 4 Oct 1987, San Francisco, CA
Frances Florence b. 25 Nov 1917 d. Dec 1917, Somervilla, MA
Charlote b. 28 Mar 1819
Frank Jr. b. 8 Jul 1920, Somerville, MA
John Lear b. 23 Oct 1921 d. 2 Jan 1999, Torrance, CA
Eleanor Mae b. 8 Jan 1932, Arlington, MA d. 23 Jul 1999, Melrose, MA
As you can see I have not kept up with the current generations. A project for the future, Again I wish to thank you for any assistance you can provide.
