Hi Barb,
I don't know if our families are connected. I am an Amberg transplanted to Illinois. My grandfather, George Amberg, was a farmer in Minnesota whose ancestors immigrated from Germany. There are also nonrelated Ambergs in Minnesota who are of Finn and Swiss decent.
