Hello,

I am afraid that this is an unlikely match at best. My line of Amel, Amell, Ammel, Hamel research runs from France through Canada immigrating to New York and thence to Wisconsin. It IS possible that they are related before coming across the ocean but I am afraid my own research has a ways to go before I get to that point and I am afraid that I have no experience working in Canada even if I should get this line back that far. If you are curious to look at my Gedcom data it is posted at Rootsweb.com under their Worldconnect project. Best of luck and good hunting.

John W. Hainey
