Gaye, thank you. He has been looked at as a possible family member!
In my search of the Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage Books (152 Vols), his name was not shown, however.

Do you see any descendants of John Caton in your DAR files such as the following record?

This is only an example....
Mrs. Helen Taylor Caton.
DAR ID Number: 154126
Born in Tyler, Texas.
Wife of Robert Lindsay Caton.
Descendant of Benjamin Harrison, as follows:
1. Gus F. Taylor (b. 1861) m. 1892 Helen Minge (b. 1867).
2. William H. H. Minge (1830-1906) m. 1860 Mary Gladden (1838-1914).
3. Collier Harrison Minge m. Anna M. Todd.
4. John Minge (1770-1829) m. 1795 Sarah Harrison (b. 1770).
5. Benjamin Harrison m. Elizabeth Bassett.
Benjamin Harrison (1726-91) was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, Congressman, member of the General Assembly and Governor of Virginia. He was born and died in Charles City County, Va.
Also No. 153604.
