Well, it's kind of iffy. Most milita men during the Rev. War did not receive pensions unless at sometime they became "part" of the Continental Army. Someone else might be able to explain this better then I. My Patriots were in militias and none received pensions however they might not have submitted an application for one either. One Patriot I found at the National Archives was in a militia and applied for a pension in 1826 but was refused because of the Act of 1818 which limited pensions to Continental Army men. At least this is what it says on the copy I made from the microfilm. It turned out he was not the man I was looking for--they had the same name but my Patriot died 20 years earlier. The book I found about his family had the wrong service record for him.
