There are 3 men with his name listed in the DAR Index. Two of them with same birth date but different death dates. The one with death date same as what you have:
SIMMONS, ICHABOD Ancestor #: A103816
Service: RHODE ISLAND Rank: PRIVATE
Birth: 20 Sep 1761 TIVERTON RHODE ISLAND
Death: 17 Oct 1841 TIVERTON RHODE ISLAND
Pension Number:
*S
Service Description:
1) COL OLNEY
Spouse Name 1)ANNA THOMAS
There is an S for pension but no number is given. One of the other men with same name and birthdate but different death date has a pension number. His wife is URANIA HOLMES.
He was in the Continental Army but no mention of being a guard for Pres. Washington. His pension number is S*W24971.
With this number you can find more info via the National Archives or info on internet. He died 1833 in Maine.
