Jody,

First step is to get with the right war. These warrants were issued for War of 1812 service. This message board is for Revolutionary War, 1775-1783.

You don't say where you found the references, which should have stated whether they were State Militia or Federal regiments.

The Warrants themselves should say. You can write for copies of the Grants issued under the warrants from the Illinois State Archives; the grants also usually describe the warrant under which the grant was made. If you do an internet search for "bounty land" AND Illinois, you will find links to their web site. They have a whole section on Federal Lands. Their search engine there allows you to search by name. They give instructions for what information you need to give them to get the right one, and
how exactly to order.

Possibly a post on the War of 1812 message board will result in more information.

Good hunting,
Jade
