His history I have so far: Surname spellings: WAIDELE, WETTIL, WADLE, WADDLE, WEDDLE *BENJAMIN 3 WEDDLE* (Martin 2, Michae1 1); born circa 1742 in Lancaster Co., PA; married ANNIE MARIA "MARY" EILER, daughter of John Jacob Iller and Anna Maria (--?--), circa 1770 in Bedford Co.,PA; died April, 1807 in Bent Mountain, Montgomery Co., VA. He was from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. From there he moved to Horseshoe Bend on the New River just east of Radford in Montgomery County, Virginia. Later, Benjamin moved his family to Floyd County, Virginia, near Bent Mountain. Benjamin Weddle was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. Benjamin also fought in the Battle of Point Pleasant under General Andrew Lewis in 1774 against Indian Chief Cornstalk. He is mentioned in a Philip Barrager land record which says "on north side of his line on Toms Creek where Ben Waddle lives between said land and the mountain" on October 15, 1782 in Fincastle Co., VA.
