I have been watching the HBO series on John Adams and find it very interesting. I find myself wondering how long it took them to travel between Boston and Washington or New York or Philadelhia and how they travelled. How long, for example, would it have taken John Adams to travel from Washington, D.C to Boston ? Did he go mostly by sea ?
