elwell, thomas, wf elisabeth, W7096, BLW#695-100, issued to soldier's son 1 aug 1818, cont. and va. line. soldier applied 4 april 1818 knox co., ohio, widow applied 6 aug 1844 in knox co., ohio, age 80. soldier and widow had married in frederick co., md. near baltimore co. line in dec. between Christmas and New Years day in 1786. widow mentions a s-i-l nelson dean. soldier died 21 may 1825, a dau., hannah widow of nathaniel middleton made aff'dt 22 jan 1852 in fairfield, ohio a resident of liberty twp, ohio at which time both soldier and widow were deceased. soldier's and widow's children were, hanah, born 30 july, 1787, david, 15 may 1789, susanah, 23 june 1791, jonathan, 20 march 1793, thomas 11 april 1797, mary 15 april 1801, sary, 18 oct 1803 and elisabeth 15 dec 1806
