Thanks Geri. The info on the "thomas, pvt holmes bttn. n.j.mil." is new to me so bears some researching. Also will search all the other va information.

Jade found nothing of his PA Rev war service but I have the NARA documents that he did serve with them and received his pension and 100 acres of land grant in Ohio. That may be because that was his last enlistment. He had three in all, two from VA and 1 from PA. He must have loved the lifestyle. Believe he was at Valley Forge so must have went through some of the worst years.

I hope to research until I can document who is parents were which has not been accomplished. Maybe in some of this information I will be able to get a clue.

Thanks all
