"The Men of Norfolk" - I Need this Book
I am trying to locate a book entitled "The Men of Norfolk". I am told it was a private publication by Jarrolds of Norwich. Jarrolds has no record of this book. I don't know when the book was published, but it was in existence, approximately 1955, when one of my ancestors was loaned the book by Brigadier Sir Thomas Jackson of Herringfleet Hall, Somerleyton, Lowestoft, Norfolk, UK. Sir Jackson and my ancestor were magistrates together. My ancestor has documented that this book contained information about the arrival of our ancestors to Norfolk in 1646.
Sir Jackson is probably no longer alive and according to directory inquiries, there is no one named Jackson at Herringfleet Hall. Sir Jackson only had one son and he died at sea in the Royal Navy.
If anyone has any information about this book, please contact me.
Thank you.
