Jan: Thanks for posting to my message re above caption. I have not documented any Info. have so far, but believe the George Anderton with daughter Rebecca is possibly brother of my Great Grandfather Wiley W. Anderton Sr., - have found records that this Wiley W. Anderton Sr. served in the 37th Tennessee Infantry Regiment in Civil War, was wounded and captured near Chattanooga, TN, along with others, in 1863, and taken to the Union Army prisoner camp located at Rock Island, Ill., where 2000 of them died in winter of 1863/64 of smallpox and pneumonia, (along with also some Union guards). He is buried there. Again, I have not documented any of the above Info., and am trying to locate records through archives of TN Hist. Society, of service records for Confederate soldiers in Civil War, especially the 37th TN Infantry Regiment for possible documentation. Thanks.
