Thanks Bill. I thought I recognized your name, but I couldn't tell from the message list on your Genforum ID. I'm trying to help some inlaws on the folks (Bryom, Ray and Anderton) down in Moore and surrounding counties here in Middle Tennessee. I had a link there from the Vannoy family and a distant cousin, so I'm interested in the neighborhood. Nope, old Daniel Sr. is still in Lunenburg (Halifax) though I have at least circumstantial evidence to perhaps link him to William Cockerham who was born ca 1682 in King William County, and perhaps before that to Joseph Cockerham b. ca 1650 of Caroline County. Not much of a trail. I've done some recent correspondence with some of the Cockerhams in Texas and Louisiana who are from the Mississippi group usually associated with William Winn Cockerham, but no luck there. These folks are generally further removed from the Virginia Cockerhams than the folks we already have worked with. I will send you my last updated Cockerham1 file for your use and review. Probably not too much there you haven't seen, but the information on the various lines is in one file. Thanks again for your contact.
