My G-Grandfather, Thomas Anderton, married my G-Grandmother Elizabeth Porteous from Montreal, abt. 1883 in Canada. They immigrated to Michigan abt. 1889. They appear on the US Census in 1890 and 1900. According to the US Census he was born in England. Thomas died in 1901 and is buried in Michigan. There is no death certificate in Michigan, and the cemetery records only go back to 1904. At this point I have no information where in England he was born or who his parents are.
Does anyone have any information about Thomas, or any ideas about how I can continue my search? Thanks.
