These are from my notes. Hope this helps anyone interested in Keren Happuch Rice & family.
I usually put stuff over on the collaborative FamilyTree on the (free!) FamilySearch website where everyone can see what everyone else has found. She is currently ID#KGMG-GLF
EVIDENCE:
married to William Anglin -- marriage record in Laurens, SC [can I prove there wasn't ANOTHER Caron Happuch who married an Anglin in SC. Can I get the original marriage bond? Maybe that would help?]
lived in Abbeville, SC -- census 1810, 1820, 1830, son Aaron listed birthplace as Greenville, SC [one of the Greenvilles in SC is in Abbeville -- but need to check because the boundaries may have changed . . .]
mother of Aaron Anglin -- proved -- military land records, court record from Tippah MS [need original copy, just have the Olan R Lewis book for now]
mother of John W Anglin -- Tippah Co. Probate record proving heirs of Aaron Anglin [the nieces and nephews of Aaron Anglin are listed as the children of John W. Anglin. Marriage record to William Anglin . . . [double check dates and ages, but I don't think he could have been married before]
LOCATION:
Lowndes Co. created in 1830 from Monroe Co., MS
I believe that between 1830 and 1847 she was living with John W Anglin and Drury Cockerham in Lowndes and Tippah Counties, Mississippi. There is an older woman that appears with one or the other of them on the various federal and state censuses.
NAME:
Coron H Angling -- 1810 census
Carom Happuch Anglan -- 1820 census
Coron H Anglin -- 1830 census
Koran H Anglin - bounty land warrant , Land patent
Koran Happuch Anglin -- Tippah MS Probate
DEATH:
After 1847 -- listed as an heir on the Bounty Land Warrant
after 1856 -- listed as the mother on the Land Patent [However, if the Warrant was given or sold to just one of the heirs, it would be easier to let the office just copy the names than prove that she was dead, so this may not be evidence]
[bef 1850? -- apparently no one else can find her on the 1850 census, either]
