My husband's great great grandmother was Ellenor Appenzeller born 24 Sep 1811 in PA and died 02 Jul 1901 in North Judson, Starke Co., IN. She was married to George D. Ruthruff born 28 Mar 1801 PA & died 05 Sep 1885 North Judson, IN. They are buried in the Pioneer Cem., in North Judson. They moved from PA to Indiana in about 1870. Ellenor had a brother, John Appenzeller.
Ellenor & John were children of Henry A. Appenzellar & Mary Foster. They had a half-sister, Cornelia, born 05 Oct 1801 PA. Her father was Henry A.Appenzeller, and the mother was Elizabeth Benner. Henry did not marry Elizabeth but gave the child his name. Henry lived in Franklin Co., PA; Cornelia was born in Bucks Co., PA.
Henry A.Appenzeller's parents:
John Jacob Appenzellar bap. 27 Jul 1755, died 09 Feb 1805 PA; married in abt 1779 to Eleanor Savacool.
John Jacob Appenzellar's parents:
Jacob Appenzellar born in Germany d: abt 1780 in Germany & wife: Veronica (no information)
Eleanor Savacool's parents were:
Jacob Savacool/Sabekuhl &
Elizabeth Oberholtzer
