It is possible that Mary Margaret was in the line of Paul Apple who lived near Waynesboro, Augusta Co., VA. I think Paul was the brother of Michael Apple of Greenville, Augusta Co, VA. Michael always signed his name Michel Appell. I have been trying to connect these two for years, but without really getting into the Augusta Co. courthouse I have been stymied. Michael also had a son George (b1796) that I have never found, but some of Michael's line went into Rockbridge to marry. Will gladly help you with what I can if you contact me at home.
