Actually for the Andrew Apple you listed b. 1764, it was Bucks Co., as this Appel line did not move in to Berks and Lancaster until much later. There is no record of this Andrew moving to Ohio. His father, also John Appel, (1726-1805), m #2, Catherine Swit, and when this John died besides the lamd in Pennsylvania there was a plantation in the Carolina's listed in the estate.
Andrew, 1764, was ancestor to Prof. Theodore Appel, of Franklin and Marshall College and Prof. Thomas Gilmore Appel, of Lancaster Theological Sem.
