I have just started working on my family tree. I also have a Jesse Apple from Morgan County. I don't have much information about him except that my grandfather (who died in 1962) had a brother named Jesse. I got the name off of his parents grave stone. The birth date was not very legible (November 8 or 9 189?). Could this be the same Jesse you have?
