Hullo David,
I'm hoping that your offer still stands and that you may just be able to shed some light on my Appleyard. There's a gaping hole [well, more than one to be truthful!] in my tree where my Appleyard should be.She's Adelaide Mary A. who married my Grandfather Francis Norman Beavis.I judge she must have been born about 1880-1890. They married sometime between 1910 & 1920 or thereabouts as my father was born in 1920.She died about 1969/70.They had sons David & James + a daughter Joan.I don't know if there were any more. But if they followed traditional naming patterns, her mother, grandmother, or sibling of either, may have been called Joan/Jean or a variation of that. Not a lot to go on sorry.I know theĆ½ were from the NE of England but it could even have been Northumberland.
thanks for your time
Fiona
