Stephen's father;s name was Willie Barfield, his mother's was supposedly Mable Gonzalez. The family lived right above the state line of South Carolina, which made finding anything impossble for me. A cousin of my grandmother's cleared it out. She also said that there is evidence of Stephen being in Jackson, Mississppi before the family moved to Arkansas. She hasn't been able to find anything else but that.
