I have started a Summers Cousins Group at Yahoo.com called SummersCousins
I am a decendant of Tom's brother Robert.
My brother has graciously given his permission to become a Y-DNA test subject for our line. We are looking for a distant male cousin that would be willing to be our other test subject for our Y-DNA project.
If you are a Male SUMMERS decendant of Thomas Middleton Summers and willing to be our test subject for a comparision Y-DNA please email me.
The only thing I ask is that you have to share the results with me. I will share ours with you. We could help with the cost of the test if needed.

The Y-DNA test only follows the father's line. That means you then your father then his father then his father and so on and so on. That is why we are looking for a cousin that has the Summers name as a last name and is a decendant of Thomas Middleton Summers
