I have a newspaper article about RBF Key. He came to Clark Co. from Georgia. He was the son of Abraham and Mae Smith Key and was born in Butts County, Georgia on June 14, 1848. It states that Abraham , along with five of his brothers, two sisters and his own father, Tom, came to Arkansas in 1849 and settled in Dallas County. Ben , whose mother died when he was an infant, wrote that his father remarried Martha Duff. When he was eight his famnily moved to old Rome in Clark County. in 1861 his father, Abraham, purchased and settled on a farm on South Fork Creek . There is more history in this article.
