Early boats, fords, landings on Little Missouri River

Can anyone tell me more about the early-day boats, fords, and landings on the Little Missouri River along Clark County's southern border? I know that cotton was shipped via the river in the 1800s down to the confluence with the Ouachita River and then onward to New Orleans.

Some history I've located named early fords or low-water crossings on the Little Missouri included McLelland's ford, The Bluff, and McNeely's Ford. Landings include McLelland's Cotton Shed and Eads Landing (although those may have been on the south side of the river on the Hempstead/Nevada County side). I'd love to also know more about shipping and boat names, etc. Any suggestions on where to look??
