The Cleveland (Dorsey) County census of 1880 listed John Rudkin wife Sarah (Beckwith), son (John)Thomas (born 1873). I am searching for information on this family. John was born in ENG was married (1)unknown (possibly in ENG) the mother of John Thomas; the mother died when John Thomas was very young. John married (2) Sarah Beckwith born in GA (don't know if they married in GA or Cleveland (Dorsey) Co., AR) Children of John and Sarah were: Joe born 1884, Walter born 1886 in Cleveland Co, and Lizzie born (?).
Sarah moved to Perry County as a widow. Leaving me to believe that John died in Cleveland Co. His first wife could have also died in Cleveland Co.
John Thomas lived with or was raised by a Rankin family in Cleveland Co, who had a daughter, Mary. This would have been sometime after the 1880 Census.
John was my gr grandfather, John Thomas my grandfather.
Any information on these families will be greatly appreciated.
