Looking for people researching Webb families in Cleveland County AR and the surrounding counties of Jefferson, Lincoln, Drew, Bradley, Calhoun, Dallas and Grant County. I am looking through census records and am trying to sort out all these Webb families in this area. I would love any information from researchers who have information on Webb Families from this area.
My paticular people and area of interst are JAMES EDWARD WEBB b. 1854 in MS and a man whom I believe is his brother, WILLIAM J. WEBB, b. June 1853 in MS. JAMES EDWARD WEBB m. Etta Mary Emerson 27 Oct 1872 in JEFFERSON COUNTY AR. Togeter they had six children (there are probably more) 1) JAMES EDWARD WEBB JR. b. 1873 AR 2) WILLIAM J. WEBB b. 1875 AR (named for his uncle?) 3) HENRY L. WEBB b. 1877 AR 4) JOSEPH W. WEBB b. 1879 AR 5) CHARLES WEBB 6) MARVIN WEBB
WILLIAM J. WEBB (b. 1853 MS) married MARY E. (Last name unknown) in 1876. Together they had 13 children 1) V.F. WEBB b. 1876 AR 2) JOSEPH H. WEBB b. AUG 1878 AR 3) DUDLEY WEBB b. FEB 1882 AR 4) JAMES WEBB b. 1880 AR 5) NICK D. WEBB b. FEB 1884 AR 6) CARY M. WEBB b. FEB 1886 AR 7) MARTHA WEBB b. APR 1887 AR 8) BART L. WEBB b. FEB 1891 AR 9) PEARL WEBB b. JAN 1893 AR 10) JAMES V. WEBB b. APR 1896 AR & RUTH B. WEBB b. APR 1896 AR 11) HERBERT WEBB b. MAY 1899 AR 12) UNKNOWN WEBB (died before 1900 Census taken)
In the 1900 census, JOSEPH H. WEBB, son of WILLIAM J. WEBB (b. 1853 MS) had married MYRA L. (Last name UNKNOWN) in 1898 (per 1900 census).
I would like to find other siblings of these two men that may also have come to AR or have stayed in MS. Would also like to find parents and the descendants. Anybody with any information on these two families or information on Webb Families that lived in this 8 County area or has information on any Webb families in AR that may be of interest to me, please email me.
